About Us
Independent, Local and Built by Emergency Vets
Founded by local Indianapolis emergency veterinarians to make practical, accessible care easier to reach.
Our Story
Indianapolis Animal Urgent Care was founded by local Indianapolis emergency veterinarians concerned about the growing corporatization of veterinary medicine and its impact on accessible, practical care for pet owners. Long wait times, excessive invoices, and limited access to both primary care and emergency services inspired us to create a solution.
All of our veterinarians have extensive emergency medicine backgrounds. They are highly skilled and experienced in handling a wide range of cases, from minor illnesses to complex abdominal surgeries such as cesareans, bloats and foreign body obstructions.
Before opening the hospital, our veterinarians spent years in many of the area's emergency hospitals and providing veterinary relief services. Through those connections we worked alongside some of the best veterinary technicians and assistants in the region, and brought together a handpicked team to create the kind of hospital we're proud to be part of.
